Happy Valley is a Netflix Original from the BBC, which consists of six one-hour episodes in Season 1, with Season 2 coming out in 2016.

The show centers on a police sergeant in West Yorkshire, who is trying to raise her granddaughter, who’s mother’s probable rapist has just been released from jail.

She becomes intent on tracking him down, all whilst dealing with a local kidnapping, and attacks on her officers.
