Aviously

Because, aviously…

Happy Valley’s Season 2, a Netflix Original from the BBC, came online this weekend.

When last we saw Sergeant Cawood (Sarah Lancashire) she had finally caught Tommy Lee Royce (James Norton) and thought her life was getting back on track.

Season 2 fast forwards about six months, and there is suddenly a murderer/rapist on the loose, and one of his victims was Royce’s mother, making Cawood the main non-suspect.

Meanwhile. Nevison Gallagher has to fire a drunk irresponsible worker, played by Matthew Lewis (Harry Potter’s Neville Longbottom), and his daughter Ann (whose role in Season 1 was that of “victim”) has now joined the police force.

Shirley Henderson joins the cast as Frances Drummond, a fiance of Royce’s, who is silently getting into Cawood’s head, and is a quiet star of the season.

This show retains its rating of an 8 out of 10.
