Ricky Gervais is back with his first special in seven years (if you don’t count the Golden Globes), and he wastes no time diving into it.
Not even Bill Cosby carries enough tranquilizer to bring down this next magnificent beast. Please welcome Melissa McCarthy.
Spending time covering his “feud” with Bruce Jenner, and the soft people who get offended at everything especially Twitter.
I’m not a legend. I’m not a God. I’m just an ordinary guy, going around talking to people. Sorta like Jesus.
Other topics he touches on include how dogs get their roles in this world, airline travel, having babies, and a lot of people dying.
It’s fine to be an atheist. It’s fine to believe in God, and it’s fine not to. And then I realized I don’t even have to tweet about religion or atheism, I could just tweet a fact, and that annoyed just the right people.
As for Twitter and people taking things personally, he mentions how he shouldn’t respond to people…but it’s so hard not to.
I’m not Tweeting anyone. I’m just Tweeting. I don’t know who’s following me. I’ve got 12 Million followers…….They choose to read my Tweet and then take it personally.
That’s like going into a town square, seeing a big notice board, and there’s a notice ‘guitar lessons’, and you go “But I don’t want f**king guitar lessons.”
Ricky is flat out funny and doesn’t care who he offends in the process. If you can stomach his humor (and if you can’t…then maybe comedy isn’t what you should be watching), then this needs to move up your lists and gets an 8.5 out of 10.
