6 Underground is a recently released Netflix movie, and while there has been a lot of good original stuff (and even worse original stuff) being added to the platform each week, this one definitely falls into the “good stuff” category.
Think of The Fast and The Furious series, and then turn it up a fun notch (although I wrote most of this before watching Hobbs and Shaw which turned out to be a really fun movie).
So take that series and add in more of one of the funnier actors currently gracing the screen (who happens to flow thru the F&F world already), Ryan Reynolds, and have it be directed by one of the most successful directors in history: Michael Bay.
The story revolves around a billionaire (Reynolds) who wants to take down evildoers (think the Kim Jong-Uns of the world) and builds a team around him of ghosts, peoples whose past lives are wiped away and only exist now as part of this group of six (hence the title, 6 Underground).
The film is jam-packed with fast cars and explosions, the staples of a Michael Bay film, and the Ryan Reynolds unique brand of humor…making you crave a sequel.
Other actors in the movie include Melanie Laurent (Inglorious Bastards), Dave Franco, and Corey Hawkins (24: Legacy).
They say no one can save the world. Meet no one.
