Two of the great unknown talents of recent years.
Fight Song by breakout artist Rachel Platten.
And Cimorelli, a group of sisters from California who I’ve been listening to for a few years already.
They are a really talented group of people, who mostly do covers, and in recent years have started writing their own songs and going out on tour.
Put the two of them together, and Cimorelli has really taken this song to a whole new level. Love it!
This video is from last weeks Saturday Night Live, hosted by James Franco, and was cut out “For time” purposes, but with the internet playing a bigger role in Season 40 then it did 10 years ago, these skits still make it out for public viewing…and I’m glad they do.
This one may come close to many lines, and probably even upset some people, it is easily one of the funnier skits that has come out of the show in a while, and it’s a shame it didn’t make it to air (not that that stopped 2+ Million people from watching it already!).
20 years after it first aired.
10 years after it last aired.
It has never been available for streaming…not even via rentals…
And on January 1st, 2015, Friends is coming to Netflix.
It will be the ultimate January binge watch, as thousands of former fans, and I am certain hundreds of brand new fans, watch through all 236 episodes.
Do you remember “The One With ____ ” will become a popular talking point again.
And while all the Seinfeld people will continue to hate, it won’t matter, as this series will get fresh wings.
As a kid growing up I would hear a lot of parodies before the original songs, and 99% of the time they came from Weird Al.
From Eat It (off of Michael Jackson’s Beat It) to Amish Paradise (Gangsta’s Paradise by Coolio) and White & Nerdy (Ridin’ by Chamillionaire and Krayzie Bone) to Like A Surgeon (Madonna’s Like A Virgin) Weird Al Yankovic always had great lyrics and turned great songs (or in most cases, really annoying ones) into awesome remakes.
Well after a three year break, Weird Al is back with Mandatory Fun(iTunes/Amazon), featuring twelve new songs (full list <and their reciprocating “real songs” below>), with twists on today’s hottest hits.
Now on one hand I’ve finally been able to get “Happy” out of my head…but it has now been replaced with “Tacky”…but if that’s my biggest issue with this album (and I haven’t heard them all yet), then I would say Weird Al is back, and maybe better than ever.
Weird Al has announced that each day (I believe for the first eight days after the album came out (July 15)) he will release a new music video from this album. (Some of which will be posted on the bottom of this post (if they are deemed worthy) and as such this post may be updated in the next few days.)

While I have worked on Television for almost four years, I primarily worked in the Control Room, and tend to be away from the front of the camera.
So when I make it on TV, I still get a thrill out of it!
A while back I got a few shots on Fox News, while I was working, on Happening Now.
And yesterday, I added two more “appearances” to my highlight reel.
The first was on Opening Bell, in which my pictures and video was used (complete with an @iAmAviG shout-out!).
The next was with the Stanley Cup on After The Bell, in which I got to wear my Rangers pride on my head.
Sorry that I couldn’t put the actual videos here…the embed wasn’t working

Every once in a while, you find a video that is just really awesome.
Such as Sir Mix-A-Lot singing with the Seattle Orchestra, his famous Baby Got Back.
Oh, and might I add before you watch this: Put a woman on stage, and give her some music, and you will see her crazy side.
