Frances Irwin, a Holocaust survivor, passed away yesterday morning, following ongoing heart trouble.
Frances – originally from Konskie, Poland – meant a lot, and was very close to, a lot of us at the Tanger Hillel of Brooklyn College, being a long time supporter of the Hillel and a great storyteller, sharing her survival story.
Thanks to Yad Vashem here is Chapter 1, Chapter 2, and Chapter 3, of her memoir, Remember To Be A Good Human Being.
Her funeral is this morning at 10AM at Midwood Chapel, 1635 Coney Island Avenue, Brooklyn NY.
The family will be at the Tanger Hillel (2901 Campus Road, Brooklyn NY) tomorrow night, Tuesday May 5th, from 4-7PM, with a special tribute to Frances at 6PM.
May G-d comfort the family, together with all mourners of Zion and Jerusalem.
