Because, aviously…

That’s right, the title is not a mistake. The Harry Potter series is getting more books.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child by JK Rowling will be the eighth book in the popular series, and it will take place 19-years after book seven.

This book is the “script book”of a Harry Potter theater production coming to London the day of the book release, which of course will be on JK’s and Harry’s birthday (July 31st for those Muggles reading this).

Featuring a grown up adult Harry, working for the Ministry of Magic, the book is said to focus on his third child, Albus, and his struggle with the families legacy that he simply can’t live up to.

I don’t know about you, but I’m pretty excited for this.

  1. Eh, I’ll be happier when the adapt it into an actual book. Although how long do you think it’ll take for WB to announce a Harry Potter 9 film?

I know, the fact that it’s not a “book” and that it’s listed as “Parts I & II” does worry me…
And WB already has HP9 with “Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them” later this year!
We shall see when the play jumps to the big screen…

      1. Fantastic Beasts is not Harry Potter 9. It’s just another movie that takes place in the same universe, and years earlier. The best we can hope for is a young Dumbledore cameo. It’s like calling Thor (the first movie), Iron Man 3. They’re in the same universe, but its not a sequel or prequel.

        The Cursed Child is.
